Seruvila massacre 12 June 1986

Seruvila is situated in the Trincomalee district. On 12.06.1986, two village headmen, three state employees, and 20 workers who were transporting relief food for the refugees were attacked by the home-guards in Mahindapuram. 21 civilians were killed and 2 injured in this attack. The victims were taking relief for the refugees who have displaced as a result of
the violence against Tamils in Eechilampattu.
