My daughter Nanthini is my youngest daughter. She was studying in Visuvamadu Mahavidyalayam. She was very capable in sports and studies. On a Thursday, She went to attend a leadership workshop with her friends. On 14 August 2006, Monday morning, she was killed by the Sri Lankan air force Kfir attack. First we heard the news of our daughter’s death from our neighbours. I didn’t believe it. After a few hours they brought her dead body. Her left leg was severely
crushed. How much we would have struggled to educate her. The Sri Lankan government destroyed it all.
